Francesca Johnson MA (Oxon) Cert Relate Dip Clinical Supervision

I originally trained with Relate to support couples and individuals with relationship difficulties and worked in health-care settings and private practice in Enfield and North London. I continued training in humanistic counselling with children and young people with the charity Place2Be and with the Institute of Arts and Therapy in Education. I continued counselling in primary schools and secondary schools offering a whole school therapy model and developing narrative and play therapy as well as more solution-focused work. In my private practice I work extensively with adults and I can offer a range of working methods drawing from a number of disciplines and experience. My continuing professional development trainings have included for example working with trauma, bereavement work and acceptance and compassion therapy. I believe working together at a pace you want is really important and can support you either short or long-term whichever is appropriate.
My experience at working with a range of issues includes:

Anxiety and lack of confidence
Bereavement and loss
Bullying
Aspergers and ASD
Relationship issues
Past sexual abuse
Depression
Sexuality and gender issues
Addiction
Stress
Self harm

I am committed to diversity and welcome everyone's unique story as meaningful.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their code of ethics.
I am also a qualified clinical supervisor and currently supervise therapists working with adults and children and young people at the charity Grief Encounter, in a number of schools both primary and secondary and in private practice.
